| Most important issue: |
Education remains my most important issue. Our information age requires a 21st-century education. Students must know the basics by the eighth grade so that learning can go even further in the high school years. To do this, teachers need current textbooks, materials and a disciplined classroom. We need more teachers. School funding must rely less on property tax increases and more on state funding. |
