Background: I was born in 1969, grew up in Duluth and graduated from Carleton College in 1991. As a college senior, I launched Atlas Games, the publishing company I still run today. Michelle and I were married in 2000 and moved to Maplewood in 2001.
Endorsements:St. Paul Trades & Labor Assembly; AFSCME; Progressive Majority; DFL Party.
Most important issue: Maplewood is on the wrong track. My campaign focuses on moving us toward a better future through fiscal responsibility, good government and restoring pride in Maplewood. Fiscal responsibility is about making the right investment decisions for the long term. Good government means fostering mutual respect among council, staff and citizens, and making decisions motivated by the public good; it also requires competence and a basic respect for process at the top of city government. Finally, the ballot box is where we can change the Maplewood story, to bring the headlines back to the good things we know about our city.
