Most important issue: The city of Saint Paul faces a number of critical challenges, including a $17 million revenue shortfall, undeveloped riverfront, tens of thousands square feet of empty downtown commercial/retail space, tax- and fee-weary citizens, inability to attract new, young families to rejuvenate our neighborhoods and schools, along with the staggering statistic of 34 percent non-taxable property! I want to work for creating new revenue streams, lessen the stranglehold of prohibitory governing, reorient downtown and its architecture to our riverfront, and initiate a building/rehabilitating boom! And finally, the state of Minnesota needs to recognize our importance and its fiduciary obligation to this Capital City!
