| Most important issue: |
With St. Paul being my hometown and longtime place of business, I remain disheartened by the neglect in some Second Ward neighborhoods, and the decline of downtown as a center of business and commerce. Good people leave neglected neighborhoods. Good people avoid the vacant, neglected and lackluster areas of downtown. Well-maintained neighborhoods, downtowns and riverfronts attract good neighbors, investment, business and tourists. New leadership is needed in the Second Ward to raise expectations and to ensure all neighborhoods are beautiful, and to ensure our downtown becomes a competitive and vital year-round center for business, residents and tourists. |
