As a City Council member, I will work to preserve the city?s unique attributes while improving its accessibility to all residents. To do this, we need to do the following: maintain the quality of our neighborhoods by sustaining existing housing stock, encouraging participation in programs to assist homeowners, adopting ordinances for rental properties and keeping crime low; protect our parks and other open spaces by clearly communicating the city?s needs and expectations to the university and taking steps to protect the environment; and encourage active lifestyles through redesigned pedestrian crossings, traffic calming strategies, walking paths and bike paths. |
