| Most important issue: | One important issue is completion of the Northwest Quadrant cleanup and redevelopment. This project needs cash flow and will require someone with firsthand knowledge of all of the history and complicated scenarios that have to take place in order for this to happen. The tax increment dollars need to pay off the bonds required to acquire all of the land and finance the remediation of the soils. I will also continue to make the city a safe place to live in. During my tenure as mayor we have not finished lower than No. 5 in the nation in National Night Out rankings, including No. 1 once. |
