| Most important issue: | Recognizing that local government?s role is to provide the most cost-effective basic infrastructure services. For example, police and fire services, well-maintained roads with timely snow removal, water and sewer services and maintaining our parks. Local governing entities also must realize that they are the stewards of public funds and must proceed judiciously in expenditures. Directly related to this is to cease and desist in abusive practice of eminent domain. It was designed for infrastructure ? not to be a coercive government land development vehicle. |
