| Most important issue: |
A healthy economy is necessary to address our problems: Energy, environment, education, health care, immigration and security. We can lead the world to a new level of peace and prosperity if we set aside short-term, next-election thinking of career politicians. For our children to inherit a thriving economy, we must eliminate earmarks and deficit spending, significantly reduce military expenses and health care costs. The money of special interest groups can no longer set energy policy. A tsunami of entitlement spending is coming. Congress must reform. Reform comes from the outside, not from the two parties accustomed to sharing power. |

| Removing barriers to increased domestic oil production - by, for example, lifting restrictions on off-shore exploration and drilling - should be the federal government's top priority in responding to high gasoline prices. |

| The United States should set a specific timetable for complete withdrawal of combat troops from Iraq. |
Somewhat agree |
| The so-called Bush tax cuts now scheduled to expire in 2010 should be made permanent for all taxpayers. |
Somewhat agree |
| The federal government should guarantee health insurance coverage for all Americans. |
Somewhat disagree |
| Additional revenue from fees or taxes should be raised to shore up America's transportation infrastructure, because eliminating waste and better prioritizing existing resources won't be enough. |
