Most important issue: While issues such as health care, education, transportation and others are extremely important, I will focus on the economy and energy independence during the next session. Families are struggling with tough economic times and higher prices for food and gas. I will always put the family budget in front of the government budget. I will push to eliminate price controls at the pump. I will work to ensure Minnesota is prepared to meet its future energy needs by promoting legislation that would remove the prohibition on new nuclear power facilities.

Legislators should rule out tax increases during the next session. Strongly agree
The state should put a cap on tuition increases at state colleges and universities and pressure the University of Minnesota to do the same. Have mixed feelings
The state should provide more funding for K-12 education, even if it means reductions in other areas of the state budget or raising taxes. Somewhat disagree
