Most important issue: I believe judges need to be accountable to us, the people. Our Minnesota Constitution states judges, . . . shall be elected by the voters. Judges have a dramatic impact on the direction of our lives and our freedoms. A well-connected powerful group is working to take away our right to elect our judicial leaders. They believe we the people (voters) are incapable of selecting our judges. Judges are public servants and in a democracy we are supposed to elect our public servants, not have them appointed for us by a politician.
