| Most important issue: | As a judge, it is most important to do justice. This requires a judge to interpret and apply the law fairly and impartially, protecting the rights of each person and providing due process for all. To do so, it is essential that judges remain neutral, making decisions based upon the law, regardless of personal views. Justice also demands that people have equal access to our courts. People rightfully expect to have their day in court. For many it may be the most important event in their lives. I understand this and diligently review and reflect on each case before making decisions. | |
