Most important issue: Minnesota's investment in alternative energy, green technology and medical innovation research created jobs in the past and will create jobs for the future. Well need an educated workforce ready for those jobs. We need affordable higher education with a path to decent jobs that include health care and retirement benefits. Minnesota's unemployment rate is higher than the national rate for the first time in 30 years. Our economy depends on these good jobs. I want Minnesota to regain its national leadership in good government, great education, decent jobs and a superior quality of life for our families.
