| Most important issue: | District funding is always a major challenge as this determines ?What can be accomplished'. This is especially true for Centennial since we are a bedroom community which has a smaller tax base then most. School districts that have large commercial and/or industrial tax bases have a major advantage, with far greater local tax generation, in addition to state funding. Determining how we spend our funding is important as-well-as working with the legislature to develop an equitable funding formula for small tax-base school district communities such as Centennial. |
