Most important issue: An important imminent issue facing the school board is the selection of the next superintendent. The superintendent is the Chief Executive Officer of the school district and his/her decisions greatly influence the overall direction and strategy of the school district, including how we fight for equitable funding for our schools. I feel that my nine years of professional experience as an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and my volunteer experience serving on the selection committee for the new principal of Rice Lake Elementary provide me with unique skills and insights that would make me an important asset when selecting for this crucial position.
